We had some concern about the weather on Easter weekend for Tashina and Sinh’s engagement photoshoot. As it turned out, the overcast sky worked beautifully as a soft diffused light for the entire session and no one got wet. The couple looks so cute together; and we got lots of great shots!

Tashina+Sinh E-Session
Tuesday, April 14th, 2009Amber+Russel E-Session
Wednesday, April 8th, 2009I first met Amber and Russel about a month ago at our studio. My first impression was “what a good looking couple”. It’s not everyday that you’ll get a bride who used to be a model. But I’m glad I did. Photoshoot with them was a walk in the park and so much fun! Their synergy and exuberance just kinda rub off on you. Wish I get more customer like them =)
Branda+Werner E-Session
Monday, March 30th, 2009We have been so busy the past two weeks shooting engagement sessions and other gigs. Just now caught up to the beginning of March. Here’s one of the cute couple we did recently. We met with Branda and Werner in sugar land and did their E-session early afternoon. Lucky for us the weather was nice and it wasn’t hard to find a spot relatively free of distracting people in the background. We had a good photoshoot.
PV’s Fashion Shoot
Saturday, March 21st, 2009We did a fashion shoot for PV a little while back before she took off for medical school. We are just now caught up with the post processing for webpagge update. The weather was sunny and beautiful that day, and our star is no less stricking than the gorgeous landscape of the park we did our session at.
Stan+Linda’s Wedding
Sunday, March 15th, 2009I shot a wedding of a lovely couple today at the Great Oaks Manor Bed and Breakfast with my friend Rajat. The cold, rainy weather threw everyone’s schedule off in the beginning. But I managed to arrive early and took some pictures of the outside of the mansion in freezing rain. The structure is a three stories, Southern Colonial type of bulding with beautiful Corinthian columns all around. The inside is gorgeously decorated with antiques and original stainglass, and six fire places which added to the ambiance…The wedding was a small, and intimate gathering with eight in attendance. But we can all feel the love that Stan and Linda have for each other, which made the ceremony especially sweet. Congradulations to the newly wed couple!
Lori-Girls-Night-Out
Saturday, March 7th, 2009Lori and the girls wanted to have a girl’s-night-out and decided to do a “lifestyle” photoshoot for their gathering. We went to medical center Zaza - a contemporary and uniquely styled hotel that often draws a crowd on the weekend. We had such a fun time that no one wanted to leave at the end of the photoshoot!
Remembering 2008…
Monday, February 2nd, 20092008 has been an memorable year for Yuan Photography:
- Launching of our website
- Moving into the new studio
- A $20,000 upgrade on the latest studio and camera technology
- Starting to offer our stylish Fusion Flushmount and I-Mount albums
- Been named one of the best wedding photography studio by Yellow Magazine
But what made 2008 really special are the people that we met and have gotten to know, and had the privilege to capture on camera their wedding celebration. Here’s a short video highlight, remembering the people and the cherishing moments we shared with them in 2008.

Island of FengQingDao
After months of talking about it, we finally have our blog page up! Yeh!!! Thanks to the help of our friend Vincent at www.VisusDesign.com who designed our original website. If you need a gifted graphic/web designer, VisusDesign does marvelous work. check it out.
So we kicked off 2009 with a long overdue update to our website. It was a difficult task choosing images for the update because there are so many good ones. We simply can not post them all. We will be adding more in the near future. Browse around. Stay tuned…..
By the way, the picture of Lily and I was taken during our summer vacation to China. We stayed at the island of FengQingDao for three days where the white sandy beach rivals the beauty of the ones we’ve seen in Florida and Hawaii! If you ever visit south China, we have a few favorite places that are absolutely gorgeous we can recommend.
